Feeling your photo is not interesting, or too monotone??? Let make it being fabulous with adding a frame on it.

Please let me the result before start to work it..

Do you have got the imagination? So let start to work..

Open the image on photoshop,  duplicate it by press Ctrl + J (a habit working with photoshop).

Select all the picture (select => select all), copy and paste the picture, so you will got the new layer as a copy of the image.

 

Click “edit” on toolbar, select “transform => scale” to resize the measure of picture. Make it smaller from background.

Still on the same layer, set the blending option by right click on your mouse and select “blending option”. Double click on “inner glow”, change the color, I pick this blue (see on image below), on “element setting”, set the size on 43 px, click OK after finished the setting.

Double click on “stroke”, set the color as “black”. Set the size on 5px then select OK. 

So your picture will be like this

Now, let we make contrast between foreground as image and back ground as frame. On ‘background copy layer”, select image => adjustment => hue/saturation. Or press Ctrl + U.

Set the saturation and lightness, then press OK.

Finishing  this project, merge all layer by select “layer” on toolbar, and select “merge visible”

So you the new wonderful picture right now..

I have an image where there are some people on that image. I want to focus to only a girl who wear purple dresses. So I try to find some way to do that, and on blur setting, I get lens blur setting. So I try to use the technique.

Firstly, it’s better to repair the condition of the image, if you think the image is needed to repair, such as the brightness, contrast, or level of the color maybe. This step is to make the image being more clear when we are going to make it focus.

So this is the image before and after repair..

I use brightness/contras and level setting to make the image better than before.

After repairing the image, let we go to next step, that is focusing the purple dresses girl.

Make selection on that girl. To make it quickly, I use “quick selection tool”. Actually, we can’t get perfect selection using this tool. You can see this image which shows the result of selection using quick selection tool.

To repair the selection, we can use “polygonal lasso tool”, don’t forget to set the intersect or subtract of selection using this tool. After repairing the selection, let we choose intersect by click your right mouse and select “intersect”. This step is held to turning the selection from the girl to all image except the girl, because the blur setting will be given to all image except the girl. So that the girl image will keep on focus.

After selecting intersect, let us go to toolbar menu, than select blur => lens blur.

To make the image better, I try to edit the image by duplicate than change the blend mode on “soft light”. Than merge visible layer by press Ctrl + shift + E.
